plain and simple - for RivkA

I've written, edited and deleted this post over the past couple of days and there is nothing I can say that hasn't been said.  I now know what the capital A stands for - AMAZING!!!!! - for you truly were. You taught me so much and you will never be forgotten.

May her family be comforted by the wonderful memories and legacy she left behind.

It's been a pink and brown kind of day..

...found some gorgeous cupcake papers that I'd forgotten about and as I needed to make a few birthday cards I decided to go along with the pink and brown colour theme...

Guess I'd better get on with the mundane things of life now, such as cooking OH some dinner.  Such is life.

A SPecial Card for A Special Brother

it's my big brother's 70th next month and considering we didnt think he'd make 55 it's a very special achievement so I had to make him a special card to go with it.  Obviously his favourite pastime is golf.

A bit more Grungeboard fun...

...well you didn't expect me to stop with one door hanger did you?  Just as my mojo has returned after it's summer vacations so thought I'd make the most of it and here is number 2...

and a close up of the flowers I made..

and the wording which I highlighted

and the corner which I used a stencil and embossing paste for and then dusted with colour before it dried..

Numbers 3 and 4 coming up soon - these are special ones for Mya and Grace, all will be revealed real soon.

A door hanger...

...what fun it is to take a sheet of grungeboard, a few gems, a couple of rubber stamps and your ProMarkers and turn them into this.....

here's a closer view of the flowers I made backed by a couple of peacock feathers stamped, coloured and angel dusted...

and my new Tilda stamp...

isn't she gorgeous.  Then I just had to use my new Sew Easy tool so that I could add some hand stitching..

I have so enjoyed this project that I am off to make a couple more of them.
