Muddy Paws

Another set of beautiful ribbons from Crafty Ribbons, Paw Prints on Grosgraine in lots of different colours and then Meow and Woof in delightful toning colours. I've used a selection to make these. Firstly a card using Joanna Sheen photo and backing paper and the gorgeous red paws ribbon.

Then a card featuring a Pink Gem Designs stamp of the cutest dog on the block and the bright pink grosgraine paws ribbon.

I then decided to 'alter' a canvas and turn it into a little notice board, designed around a photo of my Westie Harley and featuring the beige Paws Grosgraine ribbon.

A simple bookmark from a Joanna Sheen cd was brightened up with Woof ribbon.

Now you really didn't think I was going to stop there did you?? The ribbons came in a cute little white box which of course I had to alter. It's now a treat box for Harley, well he's always asleep at my feet while I am crafting so I thought he should have a box for his treats, I even used the tag that came with the ribbons. Waste not want not.

Thank You Cards

I have made Grace's thank you cards today. I started with cream pearlised paper and card and the actual body of the card was made by folding one third over and embossing the front 1/3 with a simple dot pattern using my faithful cuttlebug. I then inked the edges of the card with pink ink (of course).

On the front third I mounted a square of burgundy mulberry paper as the 'base'. The centre square (which I had inked the edges using pink ink again) has printing on three sides - 'Our family' 'has just grown' 'by two feet' and a pink crystal heart in the centre of the fourth side. Again using my cuttlebug I embossed a central square of cross stitches and finally fixed a silver charm of a pair of baby feet to the centre with pink silk thread.
On the right hand side exposed portion of the card I placed a tag that had Grace's birth details printed on it and a pair of baby feet embossed at the bottom (again good old Cuttlebug), Inked the edges with pink ink and knotted a piece of ribbon in 3 shades of pink/burgundy through the top.

I am quite pleased with the completed cards - they look quite stylish, but there was a lot of fiddly work involved and I am very relieved they are completed. Oh I forgot, I also embossed the back flap of the envelopes (Bugsy again) with the words 'Thank You'

A box or two, or three

I needed to make some boxes for a challenge swap so I made a co-ordinating pair to start with.
and then I went on to make this little cutie.

Cards for Daddy

It's my younger son's birthday soon so a made a couple of cards today so I could give him one from his little girl, Emmie Louise, this is the one I decided upon and I used a beautiful stamp from Whiff of Joy. This is the inside with a verse I wrote for Emmie, it will probably make him blub.
This is the back up card, that I just turned into an ordinary birthday card and again features a Whiff of Joy stamp.

and of course the inside of this one.

Meg - the cutest kittie on the block

I have bought lots of stamps this week (naughty naughty) and this little darling featuring Meg the cat is the first of 5 I bought from Pink Gem Designs. Again ribbons from Crafty Ribbons and my water colour crayons from SU for colouring, some odds and ends of paper from my stash box and a fish bone charm to complete. The flowers and mats were cut using my Cuttlebug and I even went on to dress up the inside.

A Cheeky Chappie

Another new stamp from Whiff of Joy, doesn't he look different when coloured in using different tones. Ribbons as always are from Crafty Ribbons, the papers are from Papermania and I used my gorgeous water colour crayons from Stamping Up.

Snail Mail

I just fell in love with this little stamp when I first saw her. She's from Whiff of Joy and is so cute. I mounted her onto a plain white card using turquoise, emerald and yellow card stock to matt and layer and a beautiful toning ribbon from Crafty Ribbons down the side almost complete the card. I cute the words out using my Cuttlebug and added a metal embellishment to the side. Tiny bronze crystals were used over the letters i.
