A Little bit of 'Me' Time

Decided to ignore my To Do List - it'll get done (eventually) and spend a little time crafting something for myself.  This bare tissue box holder has been sitting in the cupboard for a year waiting to be altered and at last it has been.

The four sides....

It's here in black and white....

....black and white is my all time favourite colour combination so of course I had to make one more door hanger....

I used a new Tilda..

and beadazzled a butterfly for a change

time to stop playing and get on with my to do list now.

more ribbon projects

some more lovely ribbons from Ali, first I made this little box.  The stem and leaves is ribbon but it was white so I tinted it using my Promarkers.

I used four different ribbons to brighten up this plain cotton bag.

and finally used two different ribbons to edge this card and again the stem/leaf ribbon.  I also added one of my glittery butterflies.

Fancied a change

and butterflies come a very close second to making flowers.  I had to buy this butterfly digi stamp set from The Crafty Pad after I saw a butterfly somebody else had made using it.  There are 4 sizes of butterfly to the set and you print off 2 of each of the 3 largest, colour them and then add beadlings to 1 of each size.  On the largest you only apply beadlings to the edge, on the middle size you apply beadlings to half of each wing and on the smaller size you add beadlings to the whole wing.  You then layer up using a coloured layer and then a beadlinged (is there such a word) layer.  Apply stones down the body and wire feelers.
I think you might get an idea of the layers from this photo..
