Bling is in the air...

...Ali from Crafty Ribbons sent me 20 metres of beautiful bling velvet ribbon and I have made the following 3 cards using some of them.  Bling is certainly in the air here at the moment......

and yet another......

I am obviously in calendar mood at the moment and have just made myself a perpetual calendar to use for birthdays and anniversaries. I used another CB download and printed off the 12 calendar month pages and the front cover altering the size to suit the calendar I wanted to make. I glued each page to a long slim piece of white card and then bound these together using my Bind It All. I added a family photo to each page trying to match the person to a celebration in that month. I am now going on to make more of these for other family members, personalising them with photos relating to their immediate family.

There is a gap for September, there are some sad people in this world.

And Another Calendar

I have made this calendar from a CB download called Flowers, Snails and Fairy Tales. It's not your normal type of calendar but has a page for each month of the year for the keen gardener to record what is happening in the garden. It was very simple to make, just print off the pages, cut to size and bind with my trusty old Bind It All. I added a few ribbons and a wheelbarrow charm to the front cover.
The first page inside the calendar is a general note page, ideal for jotting down telephone numbers of your favourite garden centres etc.
Then comes the calendar page for each month - I only show January here, but they are all based on the same theme.
To just make it a little more interesting I added some gardening jobs to do for each month.
At the back is a pocket for you to store notes and I added some packets of seeds.

These little 'To Do' and 'To Buy' notelets are also in the back pocket. I am rather pleased with this novel little calendar and will be making a few more as gifts.

Paper Dolls Big Challenge

the Big Challenge on Paper Dolls for September/October has been set by WIlma and is 'make a calendar' I decided to make a flip calendar using my best friend - my Bind It All. I've only photographed the first few pages but I think you get the idea.
