A special book for my friend Julie's birthday. Lots of meaningful sayings stamped onto muted backgrounds and decorated with gold embossed dragonflies and lots of ribbons.

The inside of the book is made up of full and half pages, with lots more meaningful sayings, muted backgrounds and pretty embellishments.

I always love the look of tags added to pages.

and chipboard shaps and word add dimension.

more ribbons - love my ribbons

and pretty stamps - this fairy is a real favourite of mine.

The wistful lady staring off into space is so pretty.

and just leave the back cover. All bound together using my beloved Bind It All Machine.

About time....

Well this blog has been set up for weeks now and I just haven't had time to post anything and get organised but at last I am MAKING time. So to start with I thought I'd add a few things I have been playing with over the past month, firstly some tags, these were all made using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads, Blonde Moments Pearl Pigments, Tattered Angels metallic spritzers and various stamps.

To these first two I also added a small piece of stampboard onto which I'd stamped part of the background detail, and some crushed shells to add an extra touch of dimension to the tags.

To this tag I added a piece of acetate on which I had stamped part of a rose and then embossed the back with red embossing powder.

This final tag is probably my favourite - none of them were started with a particular idea in mind, as usual I was winging it but always find this works out best.
