I'm a Tilda type of girl....

...and I've decided to start making some of the cards from the Magnolia magazines.  Here is the first featuring the 'Tilda and Edwin - Married Couple' stamp.  I dont think I have ever put so much on to one card, it's going to take me a while to get used to making Magnolia style cards.

and as I had gone so overboard on the outside I decided I'd better carry it through to the inside.

Can't wait to get started on my next one now.

then look no further, just get your hands on the new Katy Sue Designs cd "The Wine Buffs".  It is perfect!!!  Mine arrived yesterday and I dashed off a couple of quick cards, I'll play some more at the weekend and make more elaborate cards but here are the two I quickly made.

this one is actually quite a large card, I will save some of the pages across into MCS so I can really get to play.

and a stepper card which was such fun to do.  In case you can't read all of the chalk board behind it says "You'll like this one!  It's made from anti-diuretic hybrid grapes and reduces the number of trips people you're age go to the toilet during the night.  It's called Pinot More!"

and yes the spelling mistake on the word you're which obviously should be your is on the disc.  Can't quite sure if that is an error on their part or if the salesman is supposed to have made the error.

A card for a friend

....I am on a role right now and working my way through all the birthday/anniversary/etc cards I need for family and close friends for the whole of 2011....this one is for a friend and I actually realised it would be easier to photograph before I assembled it...

It's a New Year...

and I hope it is a happy one for you all.  I've started the new year playing with a cd called Enchanted and featuring the artwork of Linda Ravenscroft - not to be confused with the other cd I have been playing with recently 'Enchanted Dreams'.  This is the first card I have made using images from the cd and I have to say I am delighted with it and looking forward to playing some more.  I had adjusted the colouring on the front pictures of the card to a more sepia tone which worked out well as to finish the card off I needed a couple of flowers and found on the MCS Paper Flowers cd some sepia roses and geraniums which I tinted slightly with Tattered Rose distress ink and decoupaged.  Another one of those 'fly by the seat of my pants' projects which seem to come together so well.
